The restaurant Aux 2 Oliviers, where pleasures of a refined cuisine are cultivated, stands in front of Jardin du Luxembourg, In a decor with Venetian touches, varnished wood tables and walls with patinas are reflected in a sober way. The name could make some dishes from the south only. But no, the menu offers flavour coming from here and elsewhere like a crème brûlée with foie gras, potatoes chutney and toasted gingerbread, a salmon skewer flavoured with sesame and poppy with vegetable cut in julienne, or a French toast-style brioche and caramel ice-cream. A table that is certainly discreet but worth a detour because prices are more than reasonable and the original cuisine.
