Restaurant-bar with a terrace in Paris offering a menu of brasserie and gastronomic dishes.

La Closerie des Lilas was a mecca for Parisian artistic life. From the Parnassians to the Surrealists, Verlaine, Baudelaire, Hemingway... La Closerie has seen some fine people pass through its doors. Owner Miroslav Siljegovic and his son Alexandre are at the helm of this institution. From the restaurant to the bar, everything is elegance and refinement: mosaic floors, red moleskin banquettes, a shaded terrace and impeccable service. There are two menus, one for the brasserie and the other for the more chic restaurant.

Je n'aurais jamais poussé la porte de la Closerie des Lilas pensant que le lieu était extrêmement touristique et dédié à une certaine caste. On m'y a emmené et pendant une heure j'ai eu le sentiment d'un saut dans le temps, assise à l'une des tables pratiquée par les grands intellectuels de ce monde mais surtout du siècle passé. Un lieu historique qui n'est pas bon marché mais peut-être que cela vaut le coup de franchir la porte au moins une fois !
