Christophe Chabanel is properly installed in his small restaurant where he is at the same time in charge of the cuisine but also the service in the dining room to accommodate his guests. Classic décor enhanced with a red coating in the background, large moleskin benches, well prepared tables with tablecloths and cloth white napkins. On the à la carte menu, which varies very regularly depending on the seasons, and on the chalk menu of the day, we pleasantly find the must-eat of a bistro with a certain originality. The very affordable lunch formula allows you to choose between two starters and two main courses, for example: hot goat cheese in puff pastry and endive seasoned with citrus vinegrette or beef broth and Royan ravioli, followed by a range of pig and its lentils soup or a à la plancha mackerel fillet accompanied by its acidulous juice and soy and its leek fondue. Interesting suggestions that make this restaurant a convivial and inspired address for a good gourmet moment.

Sans même prendre la peine, ou le temps, de nous expliquer quoique ce soit, il a refusé de nous accueillir et à tourné les talons.
J’ai insisté en pensant qu’il n’avait peut être pas bien entendu que je consommerais malgré tout un verre mais il m’a confirmé son refus sans même un regard vers nous.
La salle était pourtant quasiment vide à 21h (seules 5 tables occupées) et nous sommes repassés devant (après avoir été reçu dans un autre restaurant) et il disposait toujours de beaucoup de tables disponibles.
Nous n’avons donc pas eu le plaisir ( ou pas ????) de goûter leur cuisine mais je tenais malgré tout à souligner cet accueil déplorable.
Je peux entendre et comprendre un refus mais encore faut il l’expliquer et rester courtois et sympathique….
Passez votre chemin : il y a suffisamment de bons bistrots parisiens qui feront votre bonheur alors autant privilégier un établissement accueillant et convivial.
