Restaurant in Paris offering quenelles with Nantua sauce, a tart with pink pralines and a pig carpaccio.
Restaurant Chez Marcel is an institution in the neighbourhood. Pierre Cheucle, the boss, left this soon centenary in his juice of the old bistrot-cap-bouchon while allowing us to have an eye on the kitchen. Posters of old claims, figurative paintings, a few books on the region of Lyon, are in the atmosphere. When the Quenelles sauce Et and the pink chocolates pie - always as sweet, but it's what makes its success - we're saying we didn't get wrong. Connoisseurs throw on the pig carpaccio with creamy sauce, garlic, capers and gherkins. A real antidepressant on its own.
