LE COMPTOIR
Address with terrace in Paris serving a simple brasserie style cuisine, homely, sincere and country.
Whether it's for lunch or dinner, I'd like to warn you right away: if you don't show up early at the Comptoir of the media-friendly Yves Camdeborde, there's no hope of sitting at a table, or you'll have to wait a while. But if by chance you do get the Grail, then let yourself be lulled by the chef's sincere and truly gourmet cuisine. On the day we visited - in September - the restaurant was offering a cod brandade with pesto and a roasted duck breast as daily specials. As a starter, one could legitimately hesitate between the poultry pâté en croûte with foie gras and the pan-fried ceps from Cantal with shallots. All good!
