HÔTEL LEFT BANK * * *
Hotel near the Procope popular for its old charm, its rooms with Jouy fabrics and its suite with a view on the roofs.
The hotel is situated right next to Procopius, a mythical place of the capital, and opposite the old house of Molière. These two neighbours have preserved a ancient charm that penetrates us as soon as one enters the premises: woodwork on walls, Louis XIII furniture, tapestries of Aubusson. Lovers of design and pure lines can only escape. On the other hand, this side side particularly likes foreigners. The rooms follow the same style and take away Toiles, red or pink silk and antique furniture. Rooms with a number ending with 6 are the largest and are all renovated in lighter tones. The suite below the roofs has a beautiful view over the roofs. The bathrooms are decorated with marble.

The acid test was, on the day we left a number of Metro stations were closed in the area due to a protest march- it was still only an 8 minute walk to the alternative one!
We had a standard twin which was a little small but perfectly fine for us. The room was very cosy and warm and the beds were comfy. The bathroom looked to be quite recently refurbished with a bath and there was a kettle too for tea and coffee. The TV had lots of channels (a variety of English ones too such as BBC2/More 4/Channel 4) as well!
The highlight was the breakfast which is only 5 euros if you book direct per person/ per day and is a good spread of cold cuts, cereal, juices, and tea/coffee.
Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely stay here again!
