As its name indicates, Hôtel des Academies et des Arts is dedicated to artistic creation. First, because this boutique hotel is set up in the street of Montparnasse where Modigliani had his workshop. Then, because it is located just opposite the famous Académie de la Grande Chaumière, where Gauguin, Giacometti, Foujita and many others succeeded one another... The building was transformed into a hotel shortly after the death of the artist in 1920 but it experienced a true renewal only when Charlotte, a journalist, and Laurent Inchauspe, a filmmaker, bought it. They gave carte blanche to the painter Jérôme Mesnager to draw his famous "white bodies". When it comes to Sophie de Watrigant, her sculptures adorn the building's staircase. Not to forget the broadcast of artist videos in the hotel's video art gallery. Très bien situé
Cet hôtel m'a facturé deux fois lors de l'enregistrement.
Ils ont soi-disant "annulé" le deuxième prélèvement, mais deux semaines plus tard, la transaction est toujours en attente sur mon compte. L'hôtel refuse de faire quoi que ce soit à ce sujet et me dit d'en référer à ma propre banque... dans un autre pays. Incroyable !
Ne faites pas confiance à cet établissement.
Très peu professionnel, je n'y séjournerais plus et ne le recommanderais à personne.
Pour ne rien arranger, la femme qui travaille à la réception a été très impolie et a laissé entendre que je réagissais de manière excessive à cette erreur, insistant sur le fait que les fonds me seraient restitués dans les deux jours.
Deux semaines plus tard, j'attends toujours que mon argent me soit rendu.
