HÔTEL DES SAINTS PÈRES * * * *
Hotel in a former private hotel popular with artists, each room has a portrait marking its personality
In the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés district, the Hotel des Saints Pères is located in a former private hotel of the th century which was the residence of Daniel Guittard, architect of Louis XIV. This was the beginning of a rich history for this hotel, which has always welcomed great figures of artistic life among which painter Francis Bacon. Each room has been renovated in a style Louis XIV, Louis XVI, Executive Board, etc. and heritage works have been preserved with respect for authenticity. Each is individually decorated, often with a portrait that gives it a unique personality. In Room 104, the little girl to the bird, refreshes the atmosphere by its softness. Room 303 is placed under the eye of Aunt Odile, the portrait of a woman of character. But the point of organ is room 100 called "room to the fresco". The ceiling is painted by a fresco of the school of Versailles dating back over 300 years, rediscovered during the renovation of the hotel. It represents the Virtue and the Good Bode, under the benevolent gaze of a angelot.
