HÔTEL D'ANGLETERRE - SAINT-GERMAIN-DES-PRÈS * * *
Charming hotel with rooms in the spirit of yesteryear with antique furniture and some overlooking a garden.
This house is far from falling into the "branchitude" of today's hotels shops. Normal because it has a glorious past: it was here that in 1783 the Embassy of England was in place, and this is where the United States'Treaty of Independence was prepared. The old leather and mahogany, stones and patinées beams make the hotel charm. The rooms have preserved their old spirit with beautiful antique furniture. The 61, perched at the end of a staircase, offers high ceilings, well-waxed parquet floors, a poster bed, heavy drapes, etc. The majority of rooms overlook a garden where you can enjoy breakfast when the weather allows. In the living room, the piano is waiting to take its notes over time. A real guest house that cultivates the courtesy.
