Parisian style hotel with large rooms ideal for families, a junior suite with kitchenette.
The Residence of the Arts belongs to the same owner as the Villa of Estrées, so the reception is opposite. The decoration is about the same in a Parisian style of good taste with French ceilings and velvet style armchairs. The rooms are large and perfectly configured for a family and the crib is provided free of charge. The junior suite even has a kitchenette. The staff were very helpful.

The location is walking distance to the lively Latin quarter and some top jazz clubs. A quick walk to notre dame, the louvre and Luxembourg gardens. But also on a quiet side street to rerun to at the end of the day.
Putting our stay over the top, was the wonderful staff. My wife and I speak very little French, but Guillaume and Willy were amazingly hospitable and gave us wonderful recommendations on restaurants, boulangeries and anything else one may need to know on a first visit to Paris. We will definitely book this hotel again when we return.
What I didn't like was the hotel and room itself for the cost. The amenities are pretty basic. The room and the bathroom felt very dated. The AC didn't work and we went during the summer time so it felt quite hot after a long day of exploring. The rooms do lean on the smaller side as well. Just a very basic standard quality room. If the cost was less I would say it was great, but for the hotel itself you would expect more. Location is awesome. Next time in Paris, I will always stay in the Latin Quarter, but perhaps not again at this hotel. There has to be many other options!
