Founded in 1929 by Marc Bloch and Lucien Febvre, Annales is a quarterly journal published by the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales. It publishes articles by researchers who are heirs to a long line of historians such as Fernand Braudel, Pierre Goubert, Ernest Labrousse, Georges Duby, Marc Ferro...
