A large church with porticoes of different styles, with two asymmetrical towers, and a sculpture of the Virgin

Construction of this church, based on a 12th-century edifice, began in the 17th century. Characterized by a monumental façade, the work of Jean-Nicolas Servandoni, this vast structure comprises two porticoes in different styles (Doric and Ionic) and two asymmetrical towers, one of which remains unfinished. The interior was richly decorated in the 19th century, notably by the painter Eugène Delacroix. Also worth seeing is a sculpture of the Virgin of Pigalle and the gnomon, a marble obelisk "lit" by a ray of light during the solstices and equinoxes.
