Museum to discover the works of Ossip Zadkine, housed in a charming house in Paris, where the sculptor once lived.

The Musée Zadkine is located at the end of a narrow alley, in a charming house bordered by a garden. It was here that Russian-born sculptor Ossip Zadkine (1898-1967) lived from 1928 until his death. Nearly three hundred works, divided chronologically into five rooms, shed light on the evolution of his art: primitivism, cubism, mythological ancient art, and abstract art. Among the highlights is Femme à l'éventail, a Cubist-style patinated bronze from 1923. The adjoining studio hosts temporary exhibitions of contemporary art.

Open daily except Mondays and certain public holidays, from 10am to 6pm. Last admission 5.30pm. Free admission except for temporary exhibitions (ask for details). Guided tours. Audioguides are available to explore the museum's permanent collections, at a cost of €5.

Un lieu situé près d’Assas. Un lieu intime et préservé. Une superbe entrée par une allée, une belle réception pour la billetterie et la boutique en même temps. Parcours fluide. Un bâtiment annexe dans lequel se prolonge l’exposition temporaire. L’artiste du moment du parcours de Chana Orloff, peintre et sculptrice acharnée, vaut le détour. Des sculptures d’elle sont également présentes dans le magnifique jardin encadré par les bâtiments du musée. Une découverte. À connaître.
