MUSÉE NATIONAL EUGÈNE DELACROIX
Museum to discover the history and artistic career of Eugène Delacroix, housed in the apartment where the artist ended his life.
The museum, which is currently undergoing renovation work scheduled for completion in March 2024, is housed in the apartment where Eugène Delacroix lived out his final years. This major artist, a torchbearer of revolutionary Romanticism and author of La Liberté guidant le peuple, chose this district to paint his last works. Once past the porch of the rue Furstenberg building, you'll discover his apartment, personal objects, garden, and studio, as well as temporary exhibitions.
