MUSÉE NATIONAL EUGÈNE DELACROIX
A museum dedicated to the history and artistic career of Eugène Delacroix, housed in the apartment where the artist lived out his life
Renovated and completed in March 2024, the museum is housed in the apartment where Eugène Delacroix ended his life. This major artist, torchbearer of revolutionary Romanticism and author of La Liberté guidant le peuple (in the Louvre), chose this district of the 6th arrondissement to paint his last works. Once past the porch of the rue Furstenberg building, you'll discover a charming ensemble - the apartment, with the painter's personal objects, his studio and a garden.
