THE PASSAGE OF THE LITTLE BUTCHER SHOP
The Passage de la Petite-Boucherie in Paris, one of the charming narrow streets linking the Abbey to Boulevard Saint-Germain
Passage de la Petite-Boucherie is one of the charming narrow streets that still exist in the old quarter, near the church of Saint-Germain-des-Prés. It links rue de l'Abbaye to boulevard Saint-Germain. Its origins date back to the 17th century, and its name recalls its proximity to the former rue des Boucheries, later absorbed by boulevard Saint-Germain. A hammam, a Japanese restaurant and a Latino music bar, to name but a few, have taken up residence here.
