After a walk in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, stop for a tea or a snack at Colorova. You are immediately impressed by the large glass roof that overlooks the ancient wooden beams, the white walls and the 1970s style graphical panel wallpaper. The furniture is original with its exotic and vintage look. The two creators of this very charming square are Charlotte in the room and William in the kitchen. They were trained at the École Ferrandi, located in the same street by sheer luck. He has worked at Plaza Athénée, Terrass Hôtel or Maison Blanche before starting up his own business. You can see him working behind windows in his kitchen overlooking the room and the street. A dozen of pastries to start, but the range will expand with the seasons. The cakes are beautifully showcased while keeping a certain simplicity. The little stars of the moment are quite exceptional. Let us mention a kind of millefeuilles composed of very fine dark chocolate leaves, intertwined with layers of vanilla cream and coffee, all on a short crust pastry or a fine entremets chocolate-gooseberry, fine and foamy, and for Christmas; a Christmas log in an exotic fruit way, chocolate with tonka milk and green lemon zest, and another one with caramel, speculoos, peanut regressive taste. Brunches on Saturday and Sunday and a meal at lunchtime (example of the main course: beef tartare with shiso leaf and confit potatoes).
