During its creation in the 1950 s, Huguette Berès specialized this gallery in two very different areas: Japanese art and French painting of the avant-garde of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. She has rediscovered the art of Japanese prints to several generations of Westerners. Dozens of exhibitions later, the house now counts many faithful. The gallery changed hands since it is now Anisabelle Berès-Montanari, daughter of the original owner, who holds the reins but has not lost in quality or passion.
