LA FERME SAINT-SIMON
Farm in Paris offering a dish of French gastronomy and exceptional products.
The favorite meeting place of political and literary circles, set out by its former owners the Chef Francis Vandenhende and his wife Denise Fabre, La Ferme Saint-Simon is a safe and discreet institution of Saint-Germain-des-Prés. In 2013, Marcelo Joulia, serial restaurateur (Unico, El Galpon, Clandestino...) and architect, took over this mythical address on the left bank, a meeting place of intellectuals and the ministries since 1933. Here is the place renovated with a modern decor signed by the agency of this Franco-Argentine (Naço). The plate ranks halfway between the rich heritage of French gastronomy and a certain lightness, in the presentation as well as in the seasonings. The exceptional products are honoured (fricassee of poultry, crayfish, provençal beef estouffade, Concarneau sole meunière, mashed potatoes) with very good executions.
