LE RESTAURANT DE LA MAISON DE L'AMÉRIQUE LATINE
Restaurant with a superbly extended table by a vast garden, with a terrace in Paris.
Some places leave you breathless. Such is the case of this Maison de l'Amérique Latine, created in 1946 on the initiative of General de Gaulle with the aim of "bringing Latin Americans and French people together and promoting exchanges between France and the Latin American republics." The house is home to a table, superbly extended by a vast formal garden that doubles as a terrace in fine weather, making it all the more magical. This establishment is truly a small, confidential address, a little cocoon known only to the initiated and the clever. Chef Thierry Vaissière's cuisine is in tune with the times, while never losing sight of our terroirs. For example, he revisits ceviche, a Peruvian classic, with a very French delicacy, but also offers pumpkin soup, shredded chestnuts, and truffled quenelle. For dessert, the choco/praliné mirror is a real treat for chocolate fans. All in all, you'll enjoy a fine dining experience in a sublime setting that was recently completely redesigned by the talented Argentine designer and sculptor Pablo Reinoso. And we love the new look, with its blend of classic style and modernity! It's a no-fail feat.
