Address in Paris preparing an autumnal menu with egg mayo, vegetables, fish and meat, and desserts.
Close to the Orsay Museum, this Cinq-Mars seduces for two reasons. For its warm atmosphere on the one hand; the loft-like decoration, with a chandelier in the background, certainly explains this. For its cuisine on the other hand, which we would describe as classic. In an autumnal menu, the egg mayo and leek vinaigrette were served alongside a pan-fried clams. For the main course, a pan of fresh calamari (decidedly) stood next to a sausage-purée. For the sweet tooth, apple crumble, floating island... Traditional, we tell you. Often, it comforts.

The terrific prix-fixe lunch menu is a testament to the skill and passion of the chefs. Few choices/big flavors, warm service.
In a city renowned for its cuisine, Cinq Mars is a true gem. This is a restaurant that knows what it does well and executes it well, making it a must-visit for anyone who appreciates the art of dining done right. If you're an English speaker, you'll be fine.
We returned back March 2024 and the experience was absolutely different.
The service is really rude and disappointing.
The food was just average.
