2-star gourmet hotel-restaurant offering bistro-inspired dishes and excellent meats.
The Hotel Thoumieux in the heart of the chic 7th district, not far from the Eiffel Tower, has two good restaurants. Next to the Michelin, a charming 2-star restaurant, the Sylvestre Wahid (as the name of its famous chef), the hotel offers a restaurant with affordable rates, an excellent brewery, and a safe value of the neighbourhood. Located on the ground floor, this contemporary and trendy brewery with its still delightfully vintage look is a little bit of yesteryear where time seems to have stopped. On the plates, we obviously enjoy impressive bistronomy to the image of Normandy scallops, grilled leeks in Josper oven, hazelnut butter, or back of salmon cooked with algae, quinces and Tandoori spices. For meat eaters, Sylvestre Wahid also offers excellent meats such as the confit lamb shoulder, chickpeas, ras-el-hanout, grape confit, or 350 g of Simmental mature cube roll. The dressing of plates always delicate though marked a certain rusticity, it never fails to place refinement to cooked products at the centre of our attention.
