HÔTEL LA COMTESSE * * * *
Hotel in the 7th arrondissement with an original decor and decorated rooms, some of which have a view of the Eiffel Tower from the balcony.
Hotel La Comtesse is located in a magnificent Haussmann-style building in the heart of the 7th arrondissement, a few steps from Champ-de-Mars and facing the Eiffel Tower. The decoration is original, as it is inspired by the literary salons of the 18th century in a mixture of contemporary and classic, laid down in small touches. The shadow of the Countess and her friends who frequented the living room hovers over us and we meet women in a fresco painted on the ceiling of the café. Literature is present in the library but also in the crumpled paper luminaires. Each room, carefully decorated but without ostentation, offers a unique view of the Eiffel Tower, some even have a private balcony (with supplement). The coffee has a sweet and salty menu, fresh and hot drinks including a chocolate served the old-fashioned way, as in the 18th century, in a chocolate maker

For some reason, the final day we checked out - on Apr 3rd, 2024 morning at 6.30 am we had a very annoyed and an utterly rude gentleman at the desk (unfortunately - I don't know his name). When I said we enjoyed our stay, he asked us to get out and leave - that single incident may have potentially ruined all the good comments that I was going to post for this place. However, I am giving them benefit of the doubt - possibly that person was having a bad day or he just didn't like my face :) .
