HÔTEL DU QUAI VOLTAIRE * * *
Hotel with view on the Seine with large, bright and double-glazed rooms.
The hotel at Quai Voltaire was built in an ancient abbey in the th century. Famous hosts stayed there: Charles Baudelaire, Jean Sibelius, Oscar Wilde, Richard Wagner, Camille Pissaro and many others. Its location is quite exceptional with a breathtaking view over the Seine River. The flip side of the coin is noise even though all the recently renovated rooms have double glazing. Those who do not fear the purr of traffic even muffled will enjoy staying here because the rooms are bright and large enough for the most. Little odd side: no television in the rooms… it's so that customers admire the magical spectacle from their window! However, the small screen junkies can install at the bar or ask for the free installation of a screen in the room. And the giant screen bar is open 24 hours a day.
