Hotel near the Orsay museum seen from some rooms, modern style with antique furniture in the rooms
The Orsay hotel is located near the Orsay museum, the National Assembly, the Invalides and the Solferino footbridge which is a link between the left bank and the right bank of the Seine. Four sculptural representations placed infront of this eighteenth century building seem to guard the entrance of the hotel. The lobby or hall express the classical style while the breakfast hall is much more modern. In the morning, we enjoy a quiet moment under the canopy where contemporary paintings by Jean-Pierre Bertrand are exposed. From some rooms, the Orsay museum or the elegant townhouse, headquarters of the Socialist Party can be seen. Although the furniture and the antique paintings have been preserved, they all have a modern style.
