Church crowded on Sundays, especially during the tourist season
Proof of the ties between France and the North American continent, the American Church of Paris was the first mission established outside the United States. The year was 1814, but it wasn't until 1857 that the first sanctuary, on rue de Berri (8th), was consecrated. And it wasn't until 1931 that this Protestant community took up residence on the Quai d'Orsay. Designed by architect Carrol Greenough, the church is mainly attended by American Protestants.
