Single-arch footbridge linking the Musée d'Orsay to the Tuileries Gardens in Paris
This elegant single-arch footbridge links the Musée d'Orsay to the Tuileries Gardens. Covered in exotic wood, it features a platform with benches for enjoying the fabulous scenery Paris has to offer from this vantage point. This work by architect Marc Mimram was named Solferino when it was inaugurated in 1999. It was renamed in 2006 to pay tribute to the President of Senegal, who had died five years earlier.
