Museum providing a broad overview of Maillol's work
Although in 1964, André Malraux, then Minister of Cultural Affairs, decided to install eighteen works by the illustrious Maillol opposite the Louvre (after a gift from Dina Vierny, model and collaborator of the artist and his son), it wasn't until 1995 that the museum was inaugurated. Here you can (re)discover works by the sculptor and painter, as well as regular temporary exhibitions devoted to major artists or themes, such as Jean Pigozzi's "Chéri Samba" (until April 2024). A catering area completes the ensemble.
