Enjoy a fine cuisine based on ultra-fresh products, mixing with genius tradition and modernity.
It is one of the most popular Italian addresses of the capital and the show is as much in the room as on plates. Since 1951, the regulars have been pressent in this little trattoria, to share a moment of Mediterranean happiness with flavours punctuated with olive oil. Secret, nestled in the heart of a tiny street, it is a table that you smile, where the fine cuisine of the Faiola brothers, based on ultra-fresh products, mixes with tradition and modernity: Roman artichokes are cooked to étouffée with mint, garlic and olive oil, a small delight of light flavours. When it comes to truffle pasta, it is hare. So, to replay La Dolce Vita, it's here that we're going, not without having booked in advance, because many tables are almost allocated in advance to the personalities who go to the places. Alain Delon or Jean-Paul Belmondo often made their canteen… luxury. Quidam can always try.

Ham. We also had 1 glass of champagne each.
We’ve been asked if we want some truffles shaved on top of our pasta which we agreed to have. Of course we knew it would be for some extra charge but we would never have even imagined that a few tiny shavings on top of our pasta (and I do mean just a couple of slices) would cost us extra €165 on top of our actual bill which was already high!!!
The hand written bill has stated we had 11 grams of truffles which is strangely enough no one has even weighed!
The food was very average and pasta tasted so much like kids version of Mac and Cheese!
So overall bill was eye watering €317!!! For 3 starters and 2 glasses of champagne!
They have also taken a plate with unfinished Parma ham (which btw costs over €30 for a couple of slices) away without even asking if we are done with it (which we were not!)
I went to a few Michelin Star restaurants, I ate dishes with truffles before but this bill was truly shocking to us! When I nicely asked how do we actually know that you’ve given us 11 grams of truffles the staff member just shrugged and said that’s what it is. They’ve arrogantly ignored our comments and left us with no real explanation. For that price that we paid for lunch we weren’t even offered something simple like bread, only a packaged grissini was brought!
I hope no one else will make the same mistake.
