MONSIEUR
Restaurant in a timeless decor offering very interesting and gastronomic menus.
A stone's throw from the Champs-Elysées, nestled in the luxurious Lancaster Hotel, the Monsieur restaurant is a well-kept secret. In a timeless decor, one can appreciate the comfortable armchairs, the beautiful paintings and the French elegance of the place. If the prices are high, at lunchtime the menu, at only €39, is very interesting and the gastronomes will recognise the excellent value for money. Under the watchful eye of the waiters at attention, you can enjoy perfectly executed dishes with a nice touch of originality. For example, for starters, we were treated to natural oysters, smoked leeks, kiwi and Daurenki caviar or the carpaccio of scallops, carrots and turmeric. For the main course, we particularly enjoyed the steamed sole, periwinkles and celery with seaweed butter, or the roasted red mullet, heliantis and horseradish. But you're probably wondering why the restaurant is so simply called "Monsieur" when the cuisine would have deserved a more sophisticated name... Quite simply because this is how Marlene Dietrich nicknamed her French lover, whom she regularly entertained at the Lancaster Hotel, where she stayed for a long time in one of the suites. And this famous "Monsieur" took great pleasure in helping her discover the good dishes and products of our regions, rather like the chef himself... A table to discover with friends or lovers, in the cosy room in winter, or in the summer in the garden of the inner courtyard.
