LA PEPINIERE
Chic brasserie with terrace in Paris offering a variety of dishes, French cuisine with international influences.
A chic brasserie with good French cuisine and some international influences. The terrace overlooking the beautiful Saint-Augustin church and a busy boulevard in the Haussmann district is pleasant all year round because it is partly covered. The decoration with its green colours and pretty animal frescoes is original and fits in well with the Art Deco style of the place. The dishes offered here are very varied and you will be spoilt for choice for a very fair price in the end. We recommend, among other things, haddock tartar with ginger or onion soup au gratin with Emmental cheese as a starter; as a main course, poached Saint-Pierre fillet or 7 o'clock lamb in its casserole dish; and for dessert, nursery style French toast or crème brûlée, which are a delight. One downside: the service is a little disorganized at lunchtime. A sure thing, however.
