LE SWANN * * * *
A literary hotel that pays homage to Marcel Proust, with comfort and technology in its rooms on six floors.
The owners of this hotel decided to pay tribute to Marcel Proust and his literary work. At the beginning of 20th century Guillaume Apollinaire frequented this establishment called on the time le Grand Hôtel de l'Europe. The rooms on six floors with a lift are classified in " Parisienne", "Belle Parisienne" and " Grande Parisienne" according to their size. Then they have names as Venice, Verdurin Balbec, and others, all from proustiens novels. On the glass partition of the bathroom, there are some lines of a manuscript of Proust and on the bedside tables are engraved famous photos of the writer. Small culinary wink: a madeleine on the table in the room ... In the stairs you will notice a beautiful costume: the mantelet jet pearl carried the marchioness of Aligre, described in Sodome and Gomorrhe. In the hundreds of works of Proust translated in all languages... Bref, a literary hotel where the comfort and the technical aspect are far from being forgotten.
