Hotel Mathis has been recently renovated. If the gold colour is present, it is by no means flashy. It just warms the atmosphere, which is already very muffled. The decoration plays in the offbeat retro, worked with elegance. The rooms hide behind a discreet facade whose black blinds and grids seem to protect them from prying eyes. Only a dimmed light filters behind captive curtains. Some rooms have balconies equipped with small tables and chairs for breakfast or a drink. The bar, all dressed in red, recalls the Napoleon III salons.
