HÔTEL BEDFORD * * * *
Hotel with an artistic tradition where you can discover rooms with a simple and refined decoration, including those with a view of Paris.
The Bedford Hotel has been run by the same Swiss family for over 100 years. Founded in the 1850 s, it was the residence of many personalities who found serenity in the prestigious district of the 8 th arrondissement of Paris. The Empress Eugénie stayed there several times, but also composers Camille Saint-Saëns and Gabriel Fauré, or Dom Pedro II, the last Emperor of Exiled Brazil in Paris, whose Hotel Bedford was the ultimate stay. The hotel is also part of an artistic tradition. Among the musicians and artists who stayed in Bedford, you can quote the composer Heitor Villa-Lobos, violinist Yehudi Menuhin and the painter Zoran Music. In chocolate and beige tones you will discover the rooms with a simple and refined decoration as well as the murals, chandeliers, gilt and other emblems of the 1900 spirit which inhabit the public areas. The rooms on the top floor have a nice view of Paris. The dining room is astonishing under its beautiful glass roof and its decor of stucco with a large fountain. The hotel has 10 apartments, a restaurant Le Victoria in the 1900 period decor and a restaurant Le Relais de Bedford.
