LE PRINCE DE GALLES * * * *
Art Deco style hotel with a mosaic patio housing rooms and suites with 1930s charm.
Built on the site of the old chaillot quarries, the Prince of Wales, a Luxury Collection Hotel, was built in 1928 by the architect Arfvidson in a typical Art-Deco style, as illustrated by his patio entirely clothed in mosaics. The origin of the name of the Prince of Wales Hotel lies in its primary purpose: welcome to Paris the Prince of Wales, future Edouard VIII. The Prince of Wales Hotel captivated many famous personalities and guests: Winston Churchill, Lord Chamberlain or Marlene Dietrich and Elvis Presley. Like all Parisian palaces, it has been recently restored. The rooms and suites have restored their charm in the 1930 s with tailor-made furniture, ébe horns and marble floors, marble floors, mosai chair and painted papers on the Patio. The restaurant At La Scène is a very nice table.
