L'AFRIQUE FAIT SON CINEMA
The International African Film Festival "L'Afrique Fait Son Cinéma" is an annual event held in Paris. Organized by AFNETWORK France, a non-profit association, the festival celebrates African culture through cinema. The association's mission is to enhance and promote African cinema, and to support the professionalization of young African filmmakers. The festival showcases a selection of the best African and Caribbean films, which are evaluated by an international jury of film professionals and personalities from the world of the arts. At the closing ceremony, 27 awards are presented to recognize the best films in competition, as well as outstanding performances and exceptional contributions to the film industry. The AFNETWORK France team, made up of 24 passionate people, has been working for over 20 years to promote African culture and give a positive image of Africa through cinema. The festival also aims to raise awareness and train young African filmmakers in the film industry.
