The American Cathedral of Paris was founded more than 130 years ago and was first consecrated on Thanksgiving Day 1886, and marked at the time, in addition to the spiritual aspect, the already strong link between France and the United States. Since then, in the prestigious Champs-Elysées district, it has welcomed Anglican believers who wish to follow the cult in English. The church has several hundred permanent members, and during the high season this number can increase considerably. Its silhouette, high, but unadorned, makes it an emblem of this very chic district of the capital.
