THE CATHÉDRALE SAINT-ALEXANDRE-NEVSKY
Church dedicated to Orthodox Christian worship, an astonishing religious monument located in Paris.
Just a stone's throw from Parc Monceau stands this cathedral dedicated to the Orthodox Christian faith. It owes its name to a 13th-century Russian national hero, who drove the Swedes and the Teutonic Knights out of his country. Consecrated in 1861, the cathedral is topped by five bulbous turrets in the traditional shape of a Greek cross. For the record, Picasso's first marriage there was to the daughter of an imperial army officer.
