Church dedicated to Orthodox Christian worship, an astonishing religious monument located in Paris.
Just a stone's throw from the Parc Monceau, this church is dedicated to the Christian Orthodox faith. It owes its name to a 13th century Russian national hero, who drove the Swedes and the Teutonic Knights out of his country. Built in 1861, the cathedral is topped by five bulbous turrets in the traditional shape of a Greek cross. For the record, Picasso's first marriage there was to the daughter of an imperial army officer.
