MUSÉE NISSIM DE CAMONDO
Museum featuring a remarkable collection of furniture, paintings, carpets, and porcelain.
The Musée Nissim de Camondo collection is housed in a 1910s townhouse (architect René Sergent) inspired by Versailles' Petit Trianon, on the edge of Parc Monceau. Count Moïse de Camondo had assembled a remarkable collection of 18th-century furniture, paintings, carpets and porcelain. In 1935, he donated it to the Decorative Arts in memory of his son, Nissim, who died in the First World War. Also worth seeing: the kitchens of this superb palace, typical of the Belle Époque.
