COURANTS DE FEMMES
Women's Currents is an association of aid to local associations for the advancement of women in Africa. It promotes freedom and women's rights, and encourages initiatives for economic and social innovation, including through the formation of local structures to the New Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). Reducing the digital divide between countries in the North and countries of the South, city and countryside is indeed a real issue for the development of civil society. Women's Currents currently account for about fifty members and more than 100 African partner Associations.
What are they proposing? Two types of projects: Women's courses offer voluntary for about 6 weeks on site for which they offer a specific offer. They also propose to persons with a project to leave in one of their countries of action to conduct interviews of associations for Women's Currents, in order to update the information presented on their site.
Where? Many African countries
Profile and Conditions: Women's currents recruit mainly students in journalism or in development/international solidarity, for stays of 6 weeks around specific projects (air transport is paid by the association). In order to be able to do so, we need to make sure that we are able to take advantage of all the necessary services and training.
