Cozy restaurant in the chic La Fantaisie hotel, offering creative, colourful cuisine using local produce

It's the restaurant of the very chic Hotel La Fantaisie, right in the heart of Rue Cadet. At the helm is chef Dominique Crenn, a veritable star of gastronomy on the other side of the Atlantic, who infuses the kitchen brigades with her talent to produce colourful, fine creations using local produce: crispy rice with smoked anchovies from Cantabria, potatoes with plankton and celery pickle, abalone and avocado tacos! And last but not least, you're sure to love the warm, cosy atmosphere. Reservations recommended!

A lovely experience from start to finish. The food, presentation and ambience we’re beautiful and the service was refreshingly positive and attentive!

With big expectations - a dissappointment. Great welcome at the loby but at the restaurant low level of service. Loong waiting although the restaurant was half-empty, no attention, forgotten orders.. nothing like ”Californian” in the service side. The dishes looked nice but tasted peculiar, both Mulet noir «meunière» and pollock in ”fish&chips” had awefully lots of fishbones one could expect to be removed from almost 40€ portion (it is possible). Very thin piece of mulet in a sauce unnecessarily coloured with squid ink. Decor was very nice. Unfortunate visit since I waited so much more for the price-ratio. Better to go to Michelin-star restos for better experience.

Avec 12 € pour une bouteille d’eau plat , 9 € une cannette de coca zéro on s’attend un service impeccable et d’avoir un menu propre e pas sal. (Photo)

Nourriture :
Tartare de Thon servie avec de feuilles au cumin 4/10 .
Fish and Chips avec du poisson avec arêtes , alors que c’est possible de les enlever vu la qualité de poisson servie (pollock)….Goût ? 3/10 . Inadmissible dans un restaurant de haute gamme .
Ils ont oublié de nous apporter le vin demandé pendant le dîner e vu le service inexistant on a pas pu le réclamer. ( personne qui Vient vous demander si tout va bien pendant le dîner ) .
Quand on l’a dit à a la manager elle nous a répondu avec une phrase mémorise par cœur . Mais pas d’excuse , seulement un petit dessert offert qu’on a dû refuser , vu que je suis allergique à la noisette. …demander avant pour exemple ? En bref . La nourriture et La management ne sont pas à l’ hauteur de comme il voudrait se présenter et des prix imposés.

High prices should provide high standards. And This is not the case . The place looks very beautiful and elegant, but they have a serious problem with the management. Food is not as good as we expected California vibes ? Not even far miles away . I do not recommend it .
