A nice place to enjoy good meat and grilled meat.
If you like meat and grilling, you've come to the right place! Here, you will enjoy parillada version red meat in an Argentine charcoal oven (a true one that we saw in the kitchen). You will therefore enjoy good meat from Argentina, served on a beautiful stylized white plate with very good French fries or homemade puree (or a mixed salad and seasonal vegetables for the light option), all served with typical Latin sauces like pepper sauce or chimichurri. And from the first bite, you feel like you're being transported to the country of Evita because it's really Argentina that invites itself here on your plate. It's up to you to choose your piece of meat à la carte: entrecote, bavette, filet, côte de boeuf... You will be spoilt for choice on the menu and purists will even recognize the Argentine names of these products they know well: ojo de bife, picanha, bife de lomo, vacio... And since 2017, the address has been offering "invited" meats, either from countries other than Argentina, like Wagyu, a very blue ribbed, finely cut, Japanese beef breed, or the Tomahawk rib for 2, Black Angus breed, powerful taste, rare blue cooking. A whole program! The meat is to be served with a good Argentine wine of course and, fortunately, the selection made in Argentina is varied at Le Loco! Other new products for 2017 include more varied starters like this delicious burrata with strawberry notes or mollejas, sweetbreads, mashed potatoes and crispy cauliflower. And vegetarians will not be left out! Yes, yes, a dish is always provided for them, during our visit it was gnocchi of puffed beetroot, thyme butter and beet leaves. As for the sunny yellow walls of the restaurant, it also breathes Argentina thanks to the beautiful photos of gauchos, the cowboys of the famous pampa. On sunny days, the small terrace overlooking the very lively rue du Faubourg Montmartre is a pure delight, and if it rains, the address even has a covered terrace in the passage Verdeau which is at the corner and remains accessible, even after the closure of the passage at 9pm... But why is the restaurant called Loco? Loco which still means "crazy" in Spanish... Well, quite simply because it is the crazy project of 3 thirty-year old fans from Latin America and Paris, nice as hell: Gaspi, Ivan and Felipe, who decided to open this special restaurant in spring 2016. And the bet truly wasn't that crazy because we came back a year later and it's a big hit! In fact, the brand should be able to make a name for itself in 2018, as a second address will soon be opened. And since we still have our heart set on the first address, we are truly looking forward to discovering the new Loco baby! To be continued...
