Restaurant-bar with terrace serving a menu of tapas fusion dishes, meats, fish, and cocktails.
Four rather gifted accomplices, including Boris Ponthieu - manager of the late Le Baron - and Filipe Alves - owner of L'Atelier des Artistes - joined forces in 2016 and created this superb restaurant-bar. Hidden behind a black storefront, Démesure occupies a 450m2 apartment on 2 floors. As soon as you enter, a covered terrace and a double room with 2 bars await you: a cocktail bar and a bar open onto the kitchens, where you can watch chef Laurent Jacobin cook live (watch out, handsome!). La Démesure's menu has been designed to be made-to-measure: all tapas fusion dishes can be ordered by weight! For example, you can order 80g of miso-marinated salmon, or go for the full 160g portion. It all depends on how hungry you are and how much money you have. Beyond quantity, quality is often the key! We recommend the semi-cooked tuna, the creamy veal and the truffle purée if you can't make up your mind from the fine selection of dishes on offer. At the end of the meal, head downstairs to the warmly decorated cocktail bar, complete with cosy smoking room and karaoke! You'll also have the opportunity to enjoy one of the many cocktails created by Boris Ponthieu, and here again, the concept is the same: you're free to choose the number of centilitres. This basement bar-club is filling up fast and has even become a HQ for Parisian bobos and other beautiful people. On Wednesdays and Thursdays, it's a fado concert or an electro piano bar, and at weekends, DJs are on the scene. This Parisian address has been so successful since its opening that the owners inaugurated a barge called La Démesure sur Seine this summer in Paris, on the Port de la Rapée in the 12th arrondissement, and it was a full house too. Excessiveness knows no bounds!

Puis on me dit « trop de monde à l’intérieur ».
Des connaissances dehors viennent me voir en me disant « toi aussi tu t’es faite refuser ? ».
J’acquiesce.
Foncez !
