This neighborhood bistro with views of the greenery of the quiet Square Montholon, far from the hustle and bustle of Lafayette Street, is a small haven of peace popular among people and the hipsters of the neighborhood. A few seats on the terrace, wooden and formica tables in the 1960's kitchen style, this Bébé was born from an accumulation of miscellaneous objects, ranging from the chandelier garlanded with champagne corks with suspended moon of papier mâché, via the sleigh and the trophies of cattle competitions. The owners wanted it with Manhattan sauce, and even if that is rather a yard sale, we applaud and settle down without hesitating. On the menu, fusion on starters (butternut soup and pan-fried mushrooms) and local classics for main courses (beef tartare, mesclun and French fries) and more exotic dishes like all arrabiata penne. Special mention for the rib steak tender and perfectly grilled with its addictive sauce with Fourme d'Ambert Regressive desserts (mi-cuit au chocolat and chestnut flour), as a wink of both owners to their first successful baby.
