Here, no designer blond wooden furniture or contemporary wall lights are used. No bearded and tattooed waiters... Bistro Neuf boasts plaid tablecloths, old-fashioned lighting, red lacquered ceiling... So what? Don't you think it's reassuring that there are still such enclaves in the capital, a keeper of a disappearing Parisian culture? At Clémentine and Gilles – the bosses – the virtues of traditional cuisine (especially when it is well tied up like here) and fresh produce are proclaimed loud and clear. It tasted like our beef flank steak, just like the strawberries in our dessert! You got it, we're in. Our table neighbors, too, seeing the way they looked when they left.
