MAISON SOUQUET * * * * *
Hotel in Pigalle in a former brothel with exceptional and refined rooms, apartments, pool.
This 20-room hotel in the middle of Pigalle is a concentrated Parisian refinement in the spirit of the old house. The discreet façade is just raised from a marquise and red lanterns. Behind this highly original decoration Jacques Garcia has been able to marry the violin style and Velvet III velvet through an eclectic collection of furniture, art objects and authentic paintings. He has restored the mystery, elegance, exoticism, sensuality and unspoiled luxury of these institutions to the well-codified architecture. The rooms are all exceptional and are true nests of love. Everything was thought of with great refinement to the silks and fabrics that asked for months of research. In turn Napoleon III, Indian, Chinese, xviiie or Japanese, they bear the names of famous courtesans who turned heads and hearts. The small apartments of La Païva and Liane de Pougy are arranged in honor of these women of legend. The water lounge and its swimming pool, placed under a heavenly vault, are privatized upon request.

The best service I have received in any hotel. The hotel staff does everything to make you feel good. The hotel is designed in a unique style and has an interesting history. It is very pleasant to sit at the bar with a cocktail. The rooms are a bit small but pleasant. The bed is very comfortable. There is a private spa for an hour a day by reservation, but don't come with high expectations from the spa.
The area is excellent and it's easy to get everywhere on foot or by metro but late at night it can be a bit unpleasant to walk around there because of shady people trying to convince you unpleasantly to enter their clubs.
