Boutique hotel with rooms, some of which are larger and have balconies, and a basement pool.

The Parister Hotel is a magnificent boutique hotel. As soon as you arrive, you are dazzled by the design of the lobby where nothing has been left to chance with numerous paintings and arty knick-knacks. Not far away, the bar Les Passerelles is a real delight for cocktail lovers. However, the superior rooms are a bit small, so go for the Deluxe rooms which are more spacious and often have a beautiful balcony overlooking the inner courtyard. The other magical aspect of this hotel is also its swimming pool in the basement, with its small tropical vegetation.

I was not a fan of this place. First of all, they charged exploitive rates for New Years Eve. If you squeeze your guests, your guests will not feel welcome. The junior suite that I booked was not even as big as a standard US hotel room. There was no suite element about it to me. Suite to them just means not tiny. Their regular rooms are tiny. So, the value just wasn't there.
Breakfast was okay, despite one older woman working there being a bit forceful in keeping people within their guidelines on timings.
Facilities were the highlight, with a steam room that you book for private usage (nice to be alone) and a small subterranean pool that they limit to just a handful of people at a time (6?). One time while we were in the pool, we had some obnoxiously loud British guys there too, which ruined the vibe. It went from sanctuary to football match the moment they walked in. Other reviewers reported the same happens with children. Sounds just bounce in there. They should probably make it a silent zone.
Elevator was broken to our floor, so we (or their small female employee) had to carry our heavy bags up stairs.
All in all, felt like I overpaid a lot for the room, but was satisfied with most of the rest.
