The Saint George Theatre - five hundred places - was established in 1929 in a typical hotel in the New Athens area. There were papers in the newspapers: Les Annales and Comœdia. The founder Camille Choisy is from the Grand Guignol. For the transformation works, he appeals to the modern architect Charles Siclis. Marcel Achard, Octave Mirbeau, Paul Bourget, Henri Duvernois, Luigi Pirandello, Jacques Deval, Denys Amiel, Paul Claudel are here. From 1943 to 1978, Mary Morgan ran the room. She is a great success for Marcel Achard, with Pierre Dux, Bogeyman, Marcel Mithois, with Jacqueline Maillan and Tchao! , Marc-Gilbert Sauvajon with Pierre Brasseur. Other artists used to the scene during this period: Pierre Mondy, Micheline Luccioni, Sophie Desmarets… Later, there will also be Marthe Villalonga, Michel Galabru, Michel Roux, Jacques Balutin, Francis Perrin, Stéphane Bern or Caroline Cellier and André Dussolier in the Memory Aid of Jean-Claude Carrière. Note that in this theatre were filmed scenes for Le Last Metro, the famous film by François Truffaut.
