ACTED
The Agency for Technical Cooperation and Development (ACTED), established in Afghanistan in 1993, helps a population experienced by conflict. ACTED also works in areas close to Afghanistan. The activities of this non-profit association are in the order of humanitarian, food, health, cultural, economic and educational relief.
What do they propose ? Volunteer missions may be very short (2 months) : food relief action, resolution of problems relating to drinking water and irrigation, agricultural support, education and health prevention, rehabilitation of existing structures (including education), vocational training, promotion of gender, rehabilitation of road infrastructure and housing, economic support and advice, protection of heritage and aid for cultural activities, fair trade…

Profile and conditions. Present a qualified professional profile and speak English. Expatriate status entitles you to a salary (between 1 000 and 3 € 000 €), travel expenses are cared for as well as accommodation and food, and you benefit from benefits. Missions vary from 2 months to 1 year, depending on your availability. Possibility of trainee positions for students at the end of curricula or for young graduates. These posts are not paid but are entitled to the same benefits as those of employees.
