CHUBBY PASSAGE
A remarkable passageway, one of the first covered and heated in Paris, featuring top-of-the-range restaurants and boutiques.
The Passage Jouffroy was one of the first covered passageways in Paris, opening in 1845. From the outset, it benefited from the popularity of the Passage des Panoramas opposite. Iron structures soon replaced the wooden structures, enabling the installation of upscale shops and restaurants that contributed to its popularity - not forgetting the famous Bal Montmartre dance hall in the basement. An entire section of the passageway is occupied by the side wall of the adjoining Musée Grévin.
