PLACE DE L'OPÉRA
An important crossroads that forms a vast square from which you can admire the Palais Garnier in Paris.
Designed by Prefect Haussmann during the Second Empire, this major crossroads converges with Avenue de l'Opéra, Rue de la Paix, Boulevard des Capucines on the west side, Rue Auber, Rue Halévy and Boulevard des Capucines on the east, forming a vast square from which to admire the Palais Garnier, the Paris Opera House. The square is lined with opulent buildings and boutiques, as well as the famous Grand Hôtel and Café de la Paix. The Louvre and Palais Royal are nearby.
